DATES CONFIRMED FOR THE RETURN OF THE GULF HISTORIC DUBAI GP REVIVAL IN 2023

From 8-10 December 2023, the Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival will make its return to the Dubai Autodrome, promising thrilling racing, unrivalled entertainment and uncompromising hospitality.
The success of the 2022 edition saw over 50 iconic Formula One, GT Prototype and Sports cars take to the track, double that of the inaugural event in 2021. Aside from the scintillating racing, fans, drivers and teams were kept entertained in the thriving paddock, with music, gala dinners and desert parties just a snippet of the ubiquitous off-track excitement.
The event will follow the same format in 2023, with action beginning with free practice and qualifying sessions on the Friday, before a thrilling two days of exhilarating racing action on Saturday and Sunday. And with even more cars expected to be confirmed ahead of lights out, 2023 promises to elevate the spectacle to new heights.
This year’s running of the Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival saw a host of motorsport legends join the drivers, teams and fans at the Dubai Autodrome. Four-time Formula One World Champion, Alain Prost was in attendance, along with nine-time Grand Prix winner, Mark Webber.
On-track, Oliver Webb won the Formula One 70s category, driving James Hunt’s debut race-winning car, the inimitable Hesketh 308B. Other race winners included Le Mans legend Andre Lotterer in the Porsche RS Spyder, Marco Werner in the Gebhardt C88, and Emmanuel Collard in the Pescarolo LMP1 01.
Off-track, the paddock and Apex Garden were hubs of entertainment for fans, drivers and teams alike. DJs and musicians were on hand to create a party atmosphere throughout the course of the weekend. Alongside this, a carefully curated classic car concours meant fans could get an up-close look at Dubai’s finest, rarest and most exotic cars.

“Across the three days of this year’s event, we welcomed over double the number of fans to the Dubai Autodrome for a truly unique event. The combination of iconic classic motor racing between some of the most legendary machinery and drivers with a festival atmosphere throughout the pitlane and paddock has defined the events DNA. And for 2023, our sights are set on welcoming even more fans, drivers and teams, with an even greater display of classic motorsport machinery on show.”
The 2022 iteration of the Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival saw the event double in size, and the expectation is for the 2023 edition to continue this upward trajectory, making it the perfect way to close out the motorsport season. 8-10 December are three dates any lover of motorsport will want to bookmark in their calendar.
