Fujifilm Middle East announced as key event partner

November 7, 2023

Blink, and you will miss the Formula One legends and sports car icons going wheel to wheel at this year’s Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival. This is why for this year’s event, we have partnered with Fujifilm, leaders in the world of photography and technological innovation.

Motor racing is all about the breakneck speed and immense acceleration; a quest to beat the stopwatch to leave rivals despairing in your wake. For many years, Fujifilm has been a market leader in the field of Imaging, embodying the spirit of motorsport to strive for perfection, while enriching lives with unforgettable memories.

With a broad portfolio across the consumer, healthcare and business sectors, Fujifilm is a household name that specialises in creating products that capture and preserve the moments we treasure and those that defy belief.

This year’s running of the Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival promises even greater levels of excitement, with more legendary cars confirmed to race. The on-track action will be supplemented by a buzzing paddock with a festival-style atmosphere.

A shared passion for creating unforgettable moments and memories that last a lifetime lies at the heart of this collaboration between Fujifilm and the Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival. From the motor racing festivities curated by the Gulf Historic team to the technological innovation of Fujifilm that captures the magic of the moment, the synergy between these businesses promises to elevate and heighten the wonder of this year’s Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival.

At the heart of the partnership for this year’s event will be two tantalising competitions. First, from Wednesday 8th November, members of the Fujifilm community will have the opportunity to win an Arbab Kabir pass, with a total of 30 passes up for grabs. The Arbab Kabir pass offers unprecedented access throughout the paddock, including a stunning classic car show,  immersive entertainment and unparalleled experience of a grid walk.

The second competition will take place throughout the race weekend. Photographers will be able to register to enter the competition on the Gulf Historic website, and then submit their best photograph from the weekend’s action. Each submitted image will be printed and displayed at the Fujifilm stand in the exhibitor village. At the end of the weekend, the best image will be selected and the photographer will receive a special prize courtesy of Fujifilm.

Across the weekend, the Dubai Autodrome will become a hive of high-rev, high-octane and high-energy racing majesty. The racing exhilaration and the elegant retro style of the paddock is sure have heads turning and cameras snapping, and with the addition of this year’s photography competition, the shutter of cameras will be echoing alongside the roar of the engines.

Frédéric Fatien, Founder of GP Extreme, commented: “The Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival is an event that simply cannot be missed, and our partnership with Fujifilm demonstrates a synergy between two brands that share a passion for creating unforgettable moments. Celebrating and reviving all that is great about classic motor racing, from the provocative fashion to the high-risk, high-reward on-track battles, our event transports guests and fans to an environment unlike anything else in Dubai. We’re delighted to be working with Fujifilm to make this year’s event the best yet.

Richard Lackey, Marketing Manager of Electronic Imaging Division – Fujifilm Middle East, added: “We are proud and excited to be a partner of the 2023 Gulf Historic Dubai GP Revival. We’ve been fans since the inaugural event in 2021, and recognized an immediate opportunity to connect with likeminded lovers of fine engineering, beautiful design and a time when taking a photograph meant loading a roll of film and having no idea what you’d see until you picked up the prints. We’ve spent 89 years engineering some of the world’s finest photographic films, cameras and lenses, culminating in our latest digital imaging technology. We’re here to celebrate both old and new, the analog soul in a digital world.
